CAMP ARIFJAN/CAMP BUEHRING, Kuwait–The Defense Credit Union Council (DCUC) sponsored the DCUC Kuwait 10 Mile Freedom Run/Walk at two U.S. military installations here.
The race brought together all forces, from sailors, Marines, airmen, and soldiers, and also included international forces from the U.K., Australia, France and Canada. The race was staged in conjunction with related races sponsored by credit unions and held in Germany, Washington, D.C., and Sacramento, Calif., to benefit Children’s Miracle Network.
The Morale Welfare and Recreation (MWR) reported an outstanding turnout to the event and said it looks forward to continuing the partnership with DCUC for years to come and allow the sponsoring of our troops abroad, according to the Defense Council.
MWR reported 323 participants at Camp Arifjan and more than 400 participants at Camp Buehring participated in the event and earned souvenir t-shirts.

- The winners in the women’s category were 1LT. Scully, Sarah (1:15:08), CPT. Chalut, Carissa (1:16:46), and 2LT. Depriest, Shelby (1:20:21).
