LAKE MARY, Fla.–Effective May 1, Central Florida Educators FCU will be changing its name and changing charters. The $1.8-billion CFE FCU said it will begin operating as
Addition Financial Credit Union, as it also moves to a state charter.
In a statement on its website CFEFCU said the change is being driven by a need to “grow and expand beyond the counties where we have branches today… and become more accessible to a broader community within and beyond Central Florida.”
“As Addition Financial, we will continue our 82-year legacy of serving Central Florida and transforming lives through financial education,” the statement reads. “Becoming Addition Financial is only the beginning of our transformation. Later this spring, we’ll refresh our branches, improve our website, introduce new technology and services, and more, all reflecting our commitment to adapt to the changing needs of our membership and our community. Please share in our excitement and enthusiasm for Addition Financial and the bright future ahead.”
In May it said it will also launch a new website at AdditionFi.com.
