BRENHAM, Texas—Germania Credit Union has named a new president/CEO.
The $10-million credit union said it has selected Nick Tonelli to lead the organization effective, Nov. 5.
Tonelli was previously the retail regional manager at Collins Community Credit Union in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where he was responsible for leading eight retail branches via direct management of leadership teams. Tonelli administered an incentive plan for 76 consumer lenders, managed and implemented projects, and developed products, according to Credit Union Resources, Inc., which conducted the search.
Prior to working at Collins Community, Tonelli was the branch manager at Greater Iowa Credit Union in Ames, Iowa, where he oversaw all aspects of branch operations, originated and overwrote loans, and opened and serviced accounts for new and existing members.
“With more than 12 years of management experience in the financial services industry—seven within the credit union movement—Tonelli will help Germania continue to provide quality and convenient services to its members,” Credit Union Resources said. “He is recognized in the industry as an experienced project manager with strong leadership and interpersonal skills and for his commitment to success.”
