It's A Paper Shredder, It’s A Mobile ATM–Actually, It’s Both

Team ONE ATM Shred

SAGINAW, Mich.–Many credit unions host shred days, while others have mobile ATMs. But Team One Credit Union here may be the first with a mobile branch that ALSO offers shredding services.

The $500-million credit union has rolled out a mobile branch it calls the “Green Machine” that includes a 60-watt Kubota generator. The van is equipped with two ATMs that can perform banking operations such as cash withdrawals, funds transfers, balance inquiries and mobile deposit of funds. It is also equipped with a commercial shredder, multi-port phone charging station, large screen TV and work station.

"The mobile ATM will provide greater banking accessibility for the community, bringing many services to locations that typically don’t have them such as at community events and fairs," said Team One Credit Union President/CEO Gerald Hutto in a statement first published by the Michigan Credit Union League.
