CHESTERFIELD, Mo.–NewGround reported it is celebrating an award-winning recognition for marketing design with FirstOntario Credit Union, a NewGround client that received the Achievement in Marketing Excellence (AIME) award—from the Marketing Association of Credit Unions (MACU)—for their flagship branch in North Oakville.
Winning the AIME award signifies outstanding achievement in credit union marketing across Canada in digital, content, design, and advertising ingenuity, the company noted.
“Together, FirstOntario Credit Union and NewGround developed a new branch strategy focusing on the universal banker concept,” the company stated. “Specializing in creating experiential branded environments, NewGround designed the facility with FirstOntario Credit Union—from a functionality and marketing standpoint—using a process called the Member Journey. The foundation of the journey is built around five activity zones that must be addressed to maximize the experience with marketing messages a person receives through their interaction with the facility.”
The 5,000-square foot banking center serves all member needs and uses strategically placed free-standing teller pods to allow for a more modern, personal alternative to the traditional teller line. Additional features include interactive teller machines for on-demand transactional banking and digital media screens displaying dynamic content localized to the community.
Member amenities, such as a self-serve café area, various seating areas, and a series of non- traditional private meeting rooms were designed to break down traditional transactional barriers and engage the customer to provide a more unique and personal banking experience, NewGround added.
On behalf of FirstOntario Credit Union, NewGround proudly accepted the AIME award during the awards gala, hosted by the Canadian Credit Union Association at the Sheraton Centre in Toronto.
