MILWAUKEE, Wis.–Organizers of the first-ever workshop related to hosting reality fairs say there is still time to register for the event.
The Reality Fair Workshop, which is for leaders and staff who play a role in hosting Reality Fairs in their local schools, is scheduled from June 12-14 in Milwaukee.
The event is being organized and hosted by Mark Lynch of CU Difference.
Lynch said the workshop will provide an opportunity to share innovations and best practices and to learn from what others are doing.
“It is also going to be a great opportunity for credit unions that are thinking about starting a program and are looking to learn from others who have developed their programs,” Lynch said.
According to Lynch, workshop participants will also get the chance to be part of an actual fair where the newly developed Reality Fair App will be used.
“Students can now use their mobile devices to record their transactions throughout the fair rather than use the traditional paper-based records,” Lynch said. “The RMJ Foundation in California originally developed an App for their Bite of Reality Program and has now added the infrastructure for other types of programs to be able to use the app as well.
