RALEIGH-DURHAM, N.C.—Every time a credit union CEO retires, he or she takes with them what is often called “unarticulated knowledge,” wisdom gathered over a career that can’t be found in textbooks or management courses.
In conjunction with Mike Lawson of CUBroadcast.com, CUToday.info is launching a series of short video interviews with retiring CEOs as part of an effort to capture at least a portion of that wisdom regarding how to manage a credit union, effectively work with both members and employees, drive growth, and more.
The series debuts here with an interview with Lee Fogle, retiring CEO of Duke University FCU, speaking with Mike Lawson. Fogle spent 18 years with DUFCU, and during his career saw assets grow by more than 400%, while the credit union was also honored as NAFCU’s Federal Credit Union of the Year during his tenure.
