Western Payments Alliance (Wespay)

The Western Payments Alliance (WesPay) facilitates and promotes the growth and best use of electronic payments through education, information, and advocacy on behalf of its almost 1200 members. As the oldest and one of the nation’s largest Regional Payments Associations, WesPay works with NACHA - The Electronic Payments Association to serve as an Automated Clearing House (ACH) rule-making body for the ACH network in the western United States as well as ECCHO, the electronic check clearing house to provide education. Eleven western states – Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, and Washington, Wyoming as well as American Samoa, Guam, and the Northern Mariana Islands – constitute WesPay’s service area. The region represented by WesPay is home to 25 percent of the nation's population and a corresponding volume of payments. Members include almost 1,100 financial institutions and over 100 organizations using electronic payments within their company.
