PLANO, Texas-- Catalyst Corporate is reporting it has set a schedule of training events designed to provide greater insight and understanding for hundreds of credit union employees during 2015.
Providing training and education to member credit unions has long been a priority, said Catalyst Corporate, noting that its training department performed 175 credit union product demonstrations in 2014 and 316 product implementation training sessions. The department also coordinated 84 product/operational training webinars that drew 1,406 participants from 869 credit unions.
“Complimentary training and education is highly valued by Catalyst Corporate members,” said Cindy Shipps, Catalyst Corporate training manager. “Members can enhance their operations through learning. Whether adding new services or hiring new employees, credit union staff can benefit from ongoing training.”
The breadth of topics covered reflects the scope of expertise at Catalyst Corporate and the Catalyst Strategic Solutions CUSO. Sessions in 2014 explored areas such as: check fraud prevention, developments in remote deposit and related services, ACH, online system functionality, liquidity planning, market and economic updates, asset-liability management, student lending, and more.
For 2015, the preliminary training schedule already includes more than 30 service training, operational and balance sheet management webinars – with more to be added throughout the year to address emerging “hot” topics, Shipps said.
