St. Jean’s CU Breaks Ground on Branch Using New Model; NewGround Leading Effort
REVERE, Mass.–St. Jean’s Credit Union has broken ground on a new branch here that reflects a new service delivery model for the CU. The initiative is being led by Chesterfield, Mo.-based NewGround.
The new 4,500-square-foot building at a shopping center will include 2,600 square feet for the new branch, with an additional 1,800+ square feet to be leased.
A departure from St. Jean’s Credit Union’s other locations, the new Revere branch’s retail delivery will incorporate cash recyclers and utilize the universal banker delivery model, according to NewGround. The design will also include a drive-up ATM and a 24-hour vestibule ATM.
“NewGround is proud that St. Jean’s Credit Union looked to us to serve as their branch transformation partner, and we are thrilled to break ground on their new Revere branch,” said Kevin Blair, president and CEO of NewGround.
Completion is expected by May 2019.
St. Jean’s Credit Union is the second oldest chartered credit union in the U.S. and is headquartered in Lynn, Mass.
NewGround employees who attended the groundbreaking ceremony included Joseph DiAntonio, Javier Fernandez, Steve Nagy, and Ralph Nelson.
