RADCLIFF, Ky. – The Fort Knox Federal Vault, an interactive financial literacy program, has been launched here for 4th and 5th grade students at Oran P Lawler Elementary School with sponsorship from Ft. Knox FCU.
The new program empowers students to be smart financial decision makers while they are early in their cognitive development. By leveraging performance-based games, The Fort Knox Federal Vault immerses students in real-life financial scenarios that focus on skill building and responsible decision making, the credit union said.
“We’re committed to helping hard-working Kentucky families improve their financial lives and early financial literacy is a critical component of that,” says Becky Ates, Executive Vice President of Fort Knox Federal Credit Union. “The sooner our kids learn about smart money management, the better prepared they’ll be to make responsible decisions as teens and young adults.”
The credit union is rolling out The Fort Knox Federal Vault program throughout the communities it serves. Interested school administrators and teachers in these areas are encouraged to contact Becky Ates at the credit union to learn more about the program, which is provided free of charge to teachers and students.
