STRATFORD, Conn.– Sikorsky Credit Union has donated basketballs to the McGivney Community Center for its after-school program. The donation of 15 basketballs to the McGivney Community Center will benefit young kids in kindergarten through 8thgrade that participate in the community center’s after-school program, the credit union said.
McGivney’s Community Center is located in Bridgeport, Connecticut and has been known as a safe place for children to go to since 1992.
“Giving back to the communities we serve is an important part of what we do as a credit union,” said Vincent Ciambriello. “This donation to the McGivney Community Center will fill an important need for their after-school program and will encourage children to be healthy and active.”
Added Joe DeSabella, program director for The McGivney Community center, “The McGivney Community Center is so grateful for the Sikorsky Credit Union for donating basketballs for our after-school program! The gym is a crucial part of our after-school program, and our kids are so excited to play with new basketballs! Sikorsky Credit Union is helping our members to develop healthy lifestyles, and we can't thank them enough for their support.”
