BATON ROUGE, La.–EFCU Financial Credit Union has announced an increase in its minimum starting pay for frontline member service representatives, as well as some back office positions, to $15
The change reflects an increase of between $1 and $3 an hour depending on the position. The $406-million EFCU Financial said it is the first financial institution in the Greater Baton Rouge Area to make such a “sweeping change in support of financial wellness for its workforce.”
“We are very pleased to be able to increase our minimum starting salary across the board for all positions paying less than $15 an hour,” said CEO Tyler Grodi. “Not only do we want to provide a more livable wage, we are also investing in the future of our credit union with team members that feel valued and wish to grow along with us.”
Grodi added that any staff member currently making less than $15 an hour will be increased to the new wage and that all positions will be reviewed over the next six to 12 months and any adjustments that need to be made to job descriptions and pay grades will also be made in 2019.
EFCU Financial has seven branch locations and a total 99 employees
