Public Service Credit Union Awards 10 Scholarships

ROMULUS, Mich.–Public Service Credit Union is awarding 10 deserving individuals with scholarships as part of its 2018 Scholarship Awards. Recipients were chosen from existing members who show academic promise, community involvement and the PSCU mantra of “people helping people.”

Students and their families are invited to be honored at the main branch of Public Service Credit Union in Romulus for the ceremony to receive their gifts and checks. This year’s recipients are: Dajah Callen from Romulus, Mich., who will be attending Wayne State University to pursue a Bachelors degree in Graphic Design; Reginald Dapremont from Grambling State University and resident of Ypsilanti, Mich., who will continue his pursuit for a degree in Criminal Justice; Estelle Feirtag from Grosse Ile, Mich., who will attend Wayne State University to further her education; Shereka Freeman-Barber from Northcentral University and resident of Detroit, who will continue to further her education; DeShonda Johnson from Detroit, who will attend Western Michigan University and major in Aviation-Mechanics; Cameron Lizyness from Woodhaven, Mich., who will continue her education at Michigan State University for a degree in either Audiology or Speech Pathology; Alexandra Marcyan from Flat Rock, Mich., who will attend Michigan Technological University while majoring in Material Science & Engineering; Lauren Reed from Grand Valley Sate University and resident of Detroit, who will continue her education towards a degree in Psychology; Ian Stewart from Grosse Ile, Mich. Who will attend the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor for a degree in Engineering; and Elizabeth Stockert from Cleary University and resident of New Boston, Mich., who willcontinue her pursuit of a Bachelors degree in Events, Sports & Promotion Management.
